group, no "presale" group, no airdrop.

## What management will never do

* **We will never DM you first.** Not to offer an allocation, not to "verify"
  your wallet, not to help you with a failed transaction.
* **We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.** Nobody who
  legitimately needs to help you will ever need it.
* **We will never ask you to send funds to a wallet.** The founding offering
  is subscribed by calling the contract from the app — not by transferring
  tokens to an address someone posts.
* **We will never announce a second sale, a bonus round, or an airdrop.** The
  offering terms are fixed and published in the
  [Founding Offering](/OFFERING.HTM); there is nothing else.

The **only** contract you approve USDG to during the founding offering is
GenesisBond, and the app constructs that transaction for you. Trading happens
against the canonical pair through the standard Uniswap v2 router.

An address posted in a chat, a reply, or a DM — even one that appears to come
from us — is not authoritative. Check it here. A single wrong character sends
your USDG to a stranger, and no one can reverse it: the protocol has no admin,
no pause, and no recovery, by design (see
[Risk Factors](/risks)).

## If you are unsure

Compare the exact handle, character by character, against the table above.
Impersonators use lookalike handles — a swapped letter, an added underscore, a
capital `I` for a lowercase `l`. They copy the logo, the name, and the pinned
message. The one thing they cannot copy is the address on this page.
